Auxeden 7” LED

Installed these today after patiently waiting a week or so. Ordered the chrome versions as they looked more OEM and initial quality appears to be a solid 5/5 new. I did the run around with led bulbs and after three sets I was done with sub par performance and one failure of a $240 set. These were $217cdn and I had a $50 amazon gift card.
Performance: solid 5/5 so far after an hour of dark night driving. Even light along the roadway, no dark spots and no flaring. Excellent cut off line. High beams are incredible! These suckers throw light! Holy cow! High marks 7 out 5. Best high beams Ive ever had on a vehicle.
Looks: a very solid 4/5, just wish they made 9” version and the halo was complete around, but again very nice looking. Like oem style. I recommend these lights!

I have the DRL wired up but Ive had zero luck finding a micro fuse tap to get them working, otherwise no, they function as normal. Great lights, I’m beyond impressed.
Drove to work this morning which was dark and raining, improved visibility and less distraction due to less flair. Flair would cause me to see rain droplets at eye level but I didn’t notice any of that today. High beams, same story!
Also of note, for me personally I see a lot of snow during winter (live in a ski resort) and the gap might help with snow buildup. Heres my theories:
1. The gap will reduce the buildup by allowing snow to pass through and not accumulate on the lense. As you know LEDs dont produce heat.
2. The gap allows warm engine heat to be removed and I noticed last night it warmed the lense, this in turn should melt any snow accumulations during stop n go driving.
My issue last year even with Morimoto “heated” bulbs was they didn’t produce heat and caysed my lense to ice up. This is actually very common in brand new oem applications too. Time will tell, should see snow in the coming weeks.

Wired the DRL into my power mirrors. Turns on during remote start but i need to either get a DRL programmer or see if Chrysler will disable my factory DRL, my low beams stay on during daytime driving.
