Axles on my Sport-S

The sticker says that I have "Dana 44" axles front and rear. Shows up under standard equipment. Can somebody tell me if this is good or bad, and how they compare to other axles that come with other Gladiators? Thanks.

They are the same.

Except some come with a wide track D44 which is exactly what it sounds like; a wider axle. As in, it is a couple of inches longer/wider than a normal D44 found in the gladiator.

Oh, yours are likely aluminum knuckles, saves weight but aren’t as strong as cast iron knuckles.

cast iron comes on the Mojave and diesel rubicon trims. Possibly in other diesel trims, too.
