I have a sport S (macks toe) that I currently have Rubicon standard springs up front, max tow springs still rear, and rubicon fox shocks on all 4 corners.
On top of the front rubicon springs i added a 1.5 alloy suspension level spacer, and front shock extenders. The rear I have a daystar 3/4" spacer.
I am currently on stock suspension everything else.
I have rubicon flares and 35" KO2. I like the way it sits, but lately I added one of the mopar front steel bumpers and this took my front down a hair. I can only imagine it will go more when I add a winch.
Should I look for some Rubicon springs that came from a steel front bumper Rubicon? Should I ditch the spacer and just get some aftermarket lift springs? If aftermarket springs, do lifts base their inches of lift on a Rubicon spring model or something like a sport spring?
What about Rubicon Diesel Springs?

I still want to get an adjustable track bar as my axle has shifted just a smidge.
Would I benefit yet from some control arms? Would the mopar ones benefit me in any way?

So far this has been a very low budget build, and I would love to keep that going, but I am open to hear anything.

a cheaper route would be to just order 2in spacers for the front IMO.

you could also look at the mopar performance LCAs if your caster is off. Or the control arm relocation brackets if you don’t aggressively off road. Both the brackets or the LCAs would add caster and improve steering. I JUST added the rancho relocation brackets to my JTMT with 2in spacers up front. They made a big difference in steering response. And now my steering wheel auto returns to center after a turn, which is nice.

a fox ifp 2.0 steering stabilizer would also improve the steering.

adjustable track bar for sure to recenter the front axle.I think there is a guy in the member sale section selling one.

Whats the end goal of your build? Off road? Mall crawling? Towing? Or just a pretty truck?

I would look into Eibach springs. They’re progressive rate and are a super solid price for a great product. I have experience with them in my old Dodge Charger (lowering springs in that case).

I have same question as above. Also do you feel like you are ready to move from a spacer to a aftermarket suspension?

The op paid the extra for the max tow, my suspicion is hes not looking at new springs that likely aren’t going to perform as well as oem max tow. I could be wrong of course

Yep that’s why I asked if he’s ready to move to a aftermarket suspension. Instead of speculating.

Just looking at front right now. Would prefer to replace spacers with just 1 solid lift spring. Would like to get back what bit was lost with the heavier bumper. The rear I still plan to keep max tow with spacer as needed.

From what I have read over the years here - a 2" MOPAR gets you more than 2" on anything other than Rubicon and some Rubicon owners report more than 2" lift. I'd see the "2 inch" thing as a minimum, IMO.
Your max tow will lose tow rating with a lift...... yes, check the 4x4 truck sites - the GOOD ones admit that anything off stock height changes towing behavior and ability. Few on the Jeep sites will be honest about that - it's a guy thing - can't possibly be ANYTHING negative about a lift? Whatchewtalingbout?
These are run through all of the checks and testing at stock height, stock weight, stock everything - so much so that Ford has even CHEATED and left things out when they tested a few years back, just to be able to pass the tests and get bigger numbers. They were not testing "as the buyer receives the truck" trucks. That should tell folks - those numbers are for bone stock - your rating may vary with any change, but will never go up.
So - if that tow and payload is important, you need to at least consider your changes accordingly. Some won't care, others want the max ratings.
I'd never consider diesel springs under a gasser - not only will they lift the truck but will likely be stiff as heck under there. But that's me. I noticed even with swapping out my Overland springs for max tow springs it's stiffer in the back, bumps are a bit more harsh Overland springs held the truck up higher, but were softer. Overland springs are longer than max tow springs - so I had to put spacers with the max tow springs to keep my rear height.

Im not super duper worried about towing. I did not buy a max tow really for that reason, but more so for the wider axles and the 4:10 gearing. The most I ever would tow is a 19' fishing boat.

You may be able to get away with doing a 2.5” front spring from metal cloak, clayton or one of the other companies. Staying with what you have in the rear or adjust from there. Mine sits higher in the rear and I have thought about lowering the rear some by using rubicon springs or lifting the front more by using a metal cloak 3.5” front spring. My old Tj I ended up with a 3” spring in the front and 2” in the rear to compensate for bumper and winch. I had it highlined and loved the lower stance on big tires.
