B&M precision sport manual transmission shifter vs factory?

Is it a legitimate upgrade for the manual transmission?

  • No, I have one installed on my truck and I should have saved my money

Is it an actual new shifter (in the case of the regular transmission at least), or just the handle & knob? Not sure how it would work with a cable operated transmission though, maybe buying a short shifter isn't really a thing.

I can kind of understand the transfer case extension if you are going in and out of 4hi/lo a lot but that's a good amount of money for something that isn't shifted like a sports car.

I like the shifter feel for the most part but if you really hated it this might be worth it to you.

Overall if I don't see it being worth the money but thats my budget

I like the idea of the transfer case shifter. But honestly, I like the stock manual transmission shifter. I dont see the need in this "upgrade". I really do think the shifter on these jeeps is excellent. If you don't like the factory shifter, sure, go for it. Why not?
