I thought I was bad because I went from a 2017 Titan in early 2018 to a 2018 titan in early 2020, to the JT in May 2022. Shortest time I have ever owned a vehicle was my 2014 Toyota Corolla, which I think made 11 months before I traded it. Same goes for the 2014 Veloster Turbo I got after the corolla, IIRC. Clearly I am not trying to flip through my cars hard enough....i sh!t you not... i know a guy on instagram that went from jlur to trx to raptor to trx to mojave to raptor ... in like 3 months lol. hes on the wrangler forum cuz he attempted to sell his jlur on there ...lime green one on 4d's
Some of the steering issues were wandering and dead spots. There should be a copy of the TSB here in one of the threads. You can see the steering box by the front wheel. Check the color and test it with a magnet. The steel ones are painted black. You're under the mileage limit, but may be over the time limit. You will have to ask the dealer for the original in-service date and mileage. The door sticker will give the date of manufacter. Sales of the 2020 model started in April 2019.Just happened to be reading this thread and now I know about the aluminum steering box issue. I have not noticed any steering issues BUT.....
My JTR is a 2020 model I bought used via Carvana and it has 34,400+ miles. So I am just under the wire for mileage and unless the former owners bought it in January or February would I still qualify for the upgrade to the steel steering box?
What are the issues with the aluminum one so I can know what to complain about....ha ha!
