To go perforated or not...

Distressed American Flag on black hardtop back window.
If I was going black I'd 100% do perforated.
But ORANGE... How badly does the perforation show up?

I figure skip it because as the flag will have voids from the stripes it won't block out my view. Anyone have examples of theirs?
Thanks!

Finally...I gotta decide gloss or matte.

Yes, perforated is 100% the way to go for a full image on a back window.

Especially with a distressed American flag, you’re still covering a large portion of the glass. Even though the stripes have voids, solid vinyl will absolutely affect visibility more than you think, especially at night or in low light.

With orange, the perforation really doesn’t stand out nearly as much as people assume. From a few feet back, it blends in. Up close you’ll see the micro holes, but once it’s installed and viewed normally, it reads as a solid graphic from the outside and clean visibility from the inside.

As for gloss vs matte:

• Gloss – Bolder, deeper blacks, more pop.

• Matte – More subtle, rugged, modern look (especially clean on orange).

If you’re running orange and black, matte gives it that aggressive off-road vibe.

We’d absolutely love to help you get this dialed in and done right. 🇺🇸🔥

Agreed with all of the above! The adhesive side is black so from the drivers perspective inside you really won't ever notice it. One thing to keep in mind is if you get the print laminated or not. Some laminate can have a slight haze to them and not be optically clear, there may also be some small areas of trapped air. I always preferred to install the 70/30 perf pattern without laminate so you get a more vibrant print but it's personal preference.
One other thing to do consider is rain, dew or condensation. It will fill the holes (if not laminated) and make it hard to see out of. Just turn on your rear defrost and it will clear right up!

Post pics when you get some installed!

@L2GFX-JT What's a rough quote for having the decal made for the hardtop rear window? Considering this for my business logo. Also a rough quote for the rear door window?

@Dilly’S Willy Hey 👋 — pricing for rear hardtop window and rear door window decals can vary depending on size, logo detail, and material choice, so the best way for us to quote it is to take a quick look at your logo and setup.

We’re heading out to the MidAmerica Off-Road Expo and will be back in the shop Monday, but feel free to reach out through our contact page and we’ll follow up as soon as we’re back:

If I was doing a mural style like you posted, no question perforated. But I'm looking at more mono orange, I'm assuming more like giant transfer tape 🤷‍♂️
