Thought I would post my dealership backordered parts list... It may help to add yours as well for others to see.

Axle - 30+ Business Days

It will be interesting to see how the backorders affect lemon law claims. Considering backorders alone will push a lot of vehicles into the 30+ days in the shop qualification.

Ordered from Quadratec which is usually pretty good with my orders. I've been staring at my 813 Fab behind seat mounting bracket for months now.

Spicer chromo shafts for rear axle. Been waiting since 7-1. Site said 30 days when I ordered IIRC, now it says 16 weeks.

I just posted this in another thread...Rubicon fender flares have had the backorder changed 3 times now. I ordered May 29th...new quoted date Nov. 1st!!!

some states are 20 days. doesnt matter if you are waiting on parts. you can start the claim as soon as it reaches 20

Good thread. I'm interested in seeing an ongoing list of parts folks report are backordered. In the past two weeks my wife and I upgraded to new vehicles, my wife a '21 Rubicon JLU and myself getting a '21 Gladiator Rubi. Both of our previous vehicles were 8 years old (GMC Acadia Denali and a RAM 1500 Laramie), and after a brief chasing of a first electric gremlin going on in her Denali made me pull the trigger on replacing both. My rationale being concern with getting parts to do repairs on them.

I have a friend who has a body shop, and he's reviewing damage pretty thoroughly before accepting a vehicle in to repair, due to the fact that he's having trouble getting parts. I am an engineering director for a pretty big industry player, and my team has been battling parts shortages (chips) for about a year now. I don't see the challenges going away for probably two years. Since dang near every car built in the past 12 years or so has "critical-to-just-start-and-run" electronic parts, the electric parts shortage was my primary concern. Other critical items (steel, plastics, etc.) are in short supply too, as well as labor. So far, I've been able to place orders successfully for several "first essential mods" for both the JLU and JT, with the only "backordered" exceptions being the Quadratec dead pedal and floormats, which seem to have been hand to mouth for them for quite a while.

IN Today's Supply Chain... not a surprise.. Try to buy a New Car/Truck off the Dealer's lot.. Hope they have what you are looking for.. otherwise It's going to be on order for you.
BTW..for all.. Order a new PC or Laptop.. ordered Aug 20 with a promise of delivery in OCT 2021.

Can't see those days for backordered parts coming into play since the company IS trying to resolve the issue. I bet they can argue against counting that time waiting for parts that are either out of their control fully or even partially out of their control.

Note the last line here - SHORTAGE OF WORKERS. Around here, help wanted signs are in literally every single business window.
