Beads suck! They go in and out of balance as you stop/go in traffic. Find a good tire guy and get a dynamic balance with stick on weights.

I put them in my previous TJ to try out when I bought a new set of 35" MTRs. I hated them.
Aside from not balancing very well, the tiny beads would get stuck in the valve stems making airing down a PITA using a Currie/ARB EZ-Deflator that removes the valve for quick air downs.

Don't do it.

Had my 37" K02s balanced with beads. Was told after 100km, it would stop vibrating. Didn't stop. Went back, got it rebalanced again with beads...vibration was even more violent. Still remember driving to the lake house that weekend and having to go under 100kmh (60mpg) so that the death wobble like shakes didn't manifest itself.

Finally got it Road Force balanced. Drives like a Caddy now.

I have my 35" Nitto's bead balanced, and have no issues. I've had them on for about 9K miles so far.

We used to balance everything from the spindle out at 120 mph back in the 70s. Hunter machine, still have the metal sign.

I would place my glasses on the fender & move one ear piece inward to watch for minute vibration for the sweet spot as I moved the four round dials to get there.

Then rims were no longer standard, sadly.

Having the tires shaved true first .

Then putting 50 miles on them before balancing.

If too much weight was needed we moved the tire 180 degrees on the rim & rebalanced.

It would seem that removing rubber would shorten the tire’s service life when in fact it extended it.

Dad bought the Hunter for his NASCAR but our customers loved it.

You could place a wine glass on the dash of my Skyjacker Gale Banks powered lifted truck with 35s on good asphalt.

Smooth to say the least.

When Discount & NTW became a thing we quit selling tires.
