Not sure where to post this.
I am wandering what type of things you include in your onboard first aid kit. I’m constructing a small kit that would include items to care for ouchies and comfort items to broken bones and gunshot wounds. Not an entire emergency room but enough to stabilize a medical emergency until patient can get to a medical facility or until a higher medical authority can takeover…

I use the MyMedic ones. They have larger ones too. Kind of pricey though but it’s basic. Has all their contents listed for each on on their website.

I also keep a tourniquet in my under seat storage but that’s just cause I have an abundance of those to spare. Might as well have one there.

I bought a more-than-basic first aid kit and I also have some Quik-Clot and a tourniquet as well as a snake bite kit. I think most first aid needs are pretty basic, but if something serious happens, as long as they don't bleed out, they should live.

Snake bite kits are worthless - https://www.exploretruenorth.com/snakebite-kits-do-they-work/

Best thing to do is get them to the nearest hospital, preferably one with antivenom. Screwing around some useless kit or tourniquet attempt will just waste valuable time.

We also carry the element sticks!!! Man! Those are great!!! Seriously, anyone who Has a fire extinguisher needs to trade it out for these! Not cheap- but can actually make “fighting the fire” a doable task….. ???

Agree with the the first half- a quick tourniquet can reduce the spread and takes next to no time to put on…
Thats a myth. Short answer is to keep their heart rate down and haul ass to the hospital.

In fact you're making things WORSE by applying it.

I have an old MyMedic MyFAK Standard (they look different now). I also did NOLS Wilderness First-Aid 2-day class through REI at a regional park, (I probably need to redo the class it's been so long).

The biggest thing for me is always remembering to restock expired items in the kit.
