We checked the wiring with a multimeter, and it looks like the negative wires of the fog lights and the passenger side blind spot sensor were torn off... Never mind, we'll send the car to Jeep for repair, and the insurance will cover the cost for us. I guess our bumper is shared with some countries' versions, because it has a longer license plate shape than the Chinese license plate, and looks like some kind of European license plate. There are some internal plastic brackets that are slightly deformed, I think it should be to absorb kinetic energy in a collision
Not sure if it had front collision tech, might have slowed the vehicle by design. Had something similar and my wife was driving our BMW IX electric that has a front safety camera and collision control.
We were driving in rain to see my kid in UC Santa cruz and suddenly, traffic has stopped in front due to a driver trying to evade deer crossing and everyone had slammed thier brakes. The camera AI detected this BEFORE my wife could react and the front collision detection kicked in, dashboard flashing and it self applied the brakes and car slowed down enough where my wife was able to react and stop inches before the rear bumper on the front car.
I know a lot of people think modern day safety features are not needed but from my own experience, it works FAR better than us humans (but its still a double edge sword in Tesla's case it does fake detection and hits a tree instead..lol).
