Hey guys I have a quick question so i bought my truck used and the previous owner had the bed lined and they completely covered over the factory mounting holes for the bed rails. Any idea what would be the best way of locating these and trying to remove the bed liner from them to add the bed rails for mounting stuff? Thanks

If you can’t see where they are, I’d find one to look at that you can measure from. Then use a much smaller drill than the threads carefully, with a depth stop. Then a tap matching the factory threads to carefully remove the liner from the threads. It’ll be a pain, but it’s doable.

I bought mine from the dealer this way. I did exactly what the previous poster suggested.

Essentially you have to “re-tap” the threads. I VERY carefully used the tap and worked like a charm.

Again, go slow and you’ll be fine.

They must have thrown it on thick to cover the holes and not even leave a divot depression evident for location.
