Bedside plastic cap removal and pics?

Need to hear from someone who has removed the plastic edge caps on bedsides, hopefully with pics.
I need to assess the width of bed's inner lip for use as a mounting surface so need to remove the caps.

That's exactly what I needed!! Are you able two pinch the clips with pliers to facilitate pushing them thru? Really appreciate your help.

I used a pick as indicated in the post… no need to pinch them - once they are manipulated with the pick they are out.
