So currently have the Clayton 2.5” overland + lift kit installed on my Overland. So far the ride has been great, but noticed on uneven roads, it rocks back and forth almost like I’m on a boat. So I pulled the trigger on the Teraflex control arm drop brackets for the front to see if that will help correct the sway. When installing I had a difficult time installing the spacers that teraflex provided on the upper portion of the bracket on the passenger side. Specifically, fitting the large spacer in it’s appropriate spot (there was not enough gap between the bracket and the frame) and realized this was due to my axle being shifted more to the driver side than the passenger.

Anyone have any advice/tips/tricks on shifting my axle once I lengthen my adjustable track bar?? I plan on taking the bolt off at the axle, lengthening then hoping my axle will shift appropriately, then turning my wheel if it does not, hoping that it will extend out. I only need to go about 3/4” so nothing crazy. TIA!!

I use a ratchet strap attached to axle and frame depending on which way you need to move.

Needs to be on the ground. Still takes a couple of tries but just ratchet till measures even then adjust track bar to match.

Leave it on the ground. Have someone get inside and turn the wheel to the passenger side until it lines up. You will see the track bar moving over, as the body shifts over the axle. Tell them to hold it when it lines up and install the bolt. Turn lock to lock and take a few measurements. Repeat until correct And then torque to spec. Very easy. No ratchet straps needed.
