Mark you might want to consider installing a gas strut like the guy in this thread...ARB here. It's been very reliable for close to a quarter million miles of travel in my JK--much of that overland all across North America. But, there are many quite reliable fridges. I'd look at features and measure sizes closely. My only real complaint with the ARB is the lid has no self-support. So, one hand is holding it up while the other is mucking around with the fridge contents. A bit awkward. But, that is fixed on the newer ARB fridges. Wish they'd offer a fix for mine. It really is a nuisance.

Thanks! I'll have to ask my daughter to figure out exactly what I need and where to mount it. She did that for our friend, James, who was building out his Canadian M101 trailer with a lid and RTT. She's a research physicist and enjoys solving small problems like that for me.
