Best GoPro mounting ideas?

How is everyone mounting their GoPros? Post pics. Considering mounting to A pillar ball mount on handle but can’t find an adapter to get it out the window? I’d like an exterior shot, not through a window. Suction cup mounts make me nervous but seems like a lot of people use them.

The GoPro suction cup mount is great. I use it on all glass surfaces.
Others use a ball on the a pillar with a bullet mount.

I use a inside mount on the RAM mount on the dash. My cheapo Amazon ditch light brackets also have a rail system that will let me attach a mount to them as well.

i use the suction cup mount for years its fine. tether it with fishing line if you are that nervous.
I prefer the exterior shot vs through windshield but keep in mind your lens will get dusty quickly especially if you arent lead. My gopro 360 with an external lense cover is VERY susceptible to this.
I ran one above the cab drivers side toward the back that i ran power from my eco flow and then controlled it from the app and it worked pretty nice. just be creative and mix it up.

For OP…I think the CMM A-pillar ball plus the extra long arm from BPMS would be the way to go. The total length is 11”. Should get the camera out of the window/vehicle.

I’m a big RAM fan, so I got one of these (just mounted it up).

This…for me…is really a great example of “you should have looked at mounted pictures in a vehicle before you bought it.”

Not sure that I’m going to want to look at this every day (will obviously just leave the mount and track in for around town), but I see a lot of similar mounts around town, so I guess people get used to them.

No clue what Mount is used … but I like the ones mounted to the suspension or frame ….they make the best videos

I know you don't want to go through the windshield, But for me, I have found that the bulletpoint setup works best for me. I don't have to worry about it falling off / getting knocked off by trail hazards and the dirt is a non-issue.

I wouldn't be scared of suction mount though. Most pros use them. Just buy a quality piece and don't cheap out. As mentioned, an additional teather is a great idea.

I've had one of these for years, it's a phenomenal suction mount. Never had it fail, and very versatile. The three cups allow it to be very flexible, you'd be surprised at the contours it can stick to, as each cup can pivot somewhat.
