Looking at add a portable jump starter to my tools and such. Anybody have a specific recommendation on brand, size, etc.? Thanks.
I also went with the NOCO. I picked up a GB150 on sale and have no regrets. It’s more than I need for the gladiator but I’ve lost count of how many other people I’ve boosted with it, including a full size motorhome.
It’s always feels good to help someone else out of a tight spot.

I own both NOCO and Hulkman. Both are great. I keep one in my jeep and one the wife’s Wagoneer . Gave some to my sons for Christmas . No home should be without them.

I have a Nebo, its a 1500 amp jump start with built in air compressor that can be set to shut off at preset tire PSI. It can charge electronic devices and has light. Its worked when my bigger jump packs haven't. Its small and will fit behind the back seat of my Gladiator.

Question for you guys—I’ve got a Hulkman 85s booster pack. And my JT is having dead batt blues (have replacement shipping enroute).

trying to boost however is not working well. Seems I’m not getting a good enough connection so 5 attempts and it makes me wait 10 min. Then after a few more attempts after moving the alligator clips it finally goes. You all having this issue too or is it likely pointing to terminal corrosion? They look clean from top so nothing obvious.

update: I tried several more times and found it would work if I did a “double tap” on the starter—attempt, let it fail then immediately push the starter button again. Did this several times successfully. Talked to Hulkman and they said it is likely the battery is shot—which I already know. There is also a force start mode that I didn’t realize but not sure it would make a difference. I guess the double tap works.

Update 2: so I’ve found the Hulkman works best if you connect it then hold the buttons down to make it enter “force start” mode. This then gives enough juice for it to work without the double tap method. Now I’m convinced the Hulkman alpha 85s is good to go! Happy with this one because it has an internal heater should I have it in a vehicle in the mountains in sub zero temps.

if you’re already in the current milwakee, dewalt or makita ecosystems, one of these 100%
turns over a cold HD diesel in the winter no problem and its not junk when the battery needs replacement

Can the higher voltage from the M18 damage the battery?

I own a medium size printing company.
I have a Gooloo brand one in each of 3 cars and they work very well. Bought the first one about 3 years ago.

NOCO GB70 …. It has started a Cummins and my Jeep no issues. I used it on a carbureted 65 mustang with a mechanical fuel pump that had a completely dead battery …. Super impressed

I carry a Noco GB40 in all my vehicles, including my Harley. Jumped off a broke down young fella today on his new to him 25 year old Harley in the NC mountains.
