Good old elbow grease

I hafta try that dryer sheet trick. Was in northern Michigan last weekend and it was bugs galor...all over the front. Had to scrub the windshield at every gas stop (which lasted all of about two minutes and two seconds before, SPLAT ) to just get the bug guts off.

I use F-11 to make it nice and slick but haven't applied the first coat yet this year.

This always works pretty well for me. Definitely not 99.9% like it claims or used to but it’s definitely really good stuff.

You can say that again. A couple of weeks ago I drove from Plant City to Lakeland (about 12 miles) and in that stretch I went through about 1/2 gallon of wiper fluid. Didn't have a choice - I couldn't see through all the splattered bugs on the windshield.

Buuuaaahahaha, I lived in FL and while driving over St. John’s River my then Ford Ranger front windshield got covered as if you had taken a roller with black paint to it. Head lights where blacked out too and had to stop at a car wash to clean the mess.
I had never seen such a thick curtain of bugs.

My trick for bug guts is hydrogen peroxide. Spray it on and watch them bubble away. Used to use this trick on my bike for getting bug guts off the fairing.

I also have one of these for the windshield. Works great.

Carry one of those behind the seat from Harbor Freight because it folds and a can of window cleaner

Just got back from california round trip. Windshield looked like bug party along with grill. Adams Detailing spray took them off like they did not exist. Took very little elbow work and finished in 5 minutes. Also leaves nice clean sparkle and good base for future cleaning. Detailed the windshield with it before leaving. Works on paint, glass, etc. Used this stuff on my BMW M for years.

We have a place where I live called a “car wash”. I drive up and pay a minimal fee, they have me drive through this magical tunnel and I come out the other side with NO BUGS! The entire process only takes 3-5 minutes!

You highfalutin city folks with your car washes, indoor plumbing, and 24 hour gas stations. Always trying to impress us.

Turtle Wax Bug & Tar remover does it for me. Spray it on, let it soak a few seconds, and the bugs wipe right off.
Even after sitting for a week.

June bugs are the worst! More splatter smear per inch. Hahaha. Can’t tell you how many times I didn’t want to turn on the wipers to make a bigger mess.

Since I am inveterately lazy and cheap,
I use a method we used for plastic motorcycle windshields.

Get a big towel soaking wet.
Press it onto the grill or windshield.
Leave it there while you have a beer or two.
Come back and wipe off the softened up bugs.

My apologies to all the motels I stayed in
that wondered why the towels in the rooms
had bug guts, wings and legs on them.
