Do any of yall run the ones with the washer in the blade or attached to the blade? I used to do that mod to alk my j trucks and my full sized cherokee after seeing all the desert racers running that set up back in the 80s. Didnt think to do that to this truck. Also used to run dual blades on them with tge washer tube between the blades... damn im old...

I live in Florida also and the OEM blades on every Jeep I've owned has held up better than any other I had to buy when they finally wore out. OEM for me.

Came here to say this too. OEM works great for me!

OEM is $22 for one blade at RockAuto (under Wrangler section, there's fewer options under Gladiator). While yours are $18 for two blades, plus two refills, plus free shipping. That's pretty cheap, how are they holding up now?

I was going to try the Trico Silicone Ceramic ($40 delivered for two) for supposed better sun/heat protection. I've never had better experience with better blades in the past. They all end up baking and streaking, so usually not worth it imo. But I've never tried silicone either. So debate to go cheap and replace more or just as frequently, or see if silicone will finally break the mold. Or OEM, it's always an option.

still pretty good. I forgot about the replacement blades. They are cheap enough to not even care. I replace them about once a year in SoCAl. I just looked up my order form the last time and that was 01/23 so they been on there 2 years and 3 months. No refill changes

I honestly don't buy anything OE unless its under warranty. You can get the filter cartage from AutoZone way cheaper the dealer. Shit my dealer even sells NON-OE filter WTF!!!

That's better than my OEM, built around June '23. Probably crapped out a while ago based on the damage. I don't drive in the rain much, so hadn't noticed.

However, I'm in Michigan and park outside, so I've got sun and snow. Which is probably why the more expensive ones have never served me well in the past. Time and elements will do its job no matter what. And even if they don't fall apart, they quickly get to the point of leaving a streak. Which has scientifically been proven to always occur at eye level (I assume).

Unless silicone really is something special, cheap is the way to go for frequent changes. Thanks for the update!

I have found most OEM blades are garbage in the NH winter with Slush sleet and heavy snow, The only Blade I use is the Rain-X latitude. it is the best 4 season blade. I run them on everything all 6 vehicles I get a full year out of them.
However to keep any blade living longer, periodically clean the wipe edge with a scotch-brite pad, then wipe the blade clean with rubbing alcohol

There might be better out there, but Bosch icon work well for me. I got 2+ yrs out of the OEM ones and they were fine. then I got some expensive BS the guy at advanced auto players recommended and they sucked after a year. I put Bosch icons on it and almost 3 yrs late and they’re still fine.

I buy the 16" Goodyear that Costco sells when they are on sale. Living in the desert any blades don't last long due to the dust and grit that blows around so much. I keep enough in stock to replace one or both as soon as they show a streak. I did the same with my 2011 Wrangler and now with my Gladiator and my wife's Wrangler, it. works for us.
