Just curious what everyone is paying for their bestop sunrider top? I’m in Canada, Amazon has the twill for just under $1400 cad which seems pricey to me. Heading to Florida in a couple weeks, thinking maybe picking one up while I’m down there.

I got mine from Quadratech around three years ago for around $850 or $900. I guess if you apply the currency conversion for Canada, might come out the same? Just my $0.02 ($0.03 Canadian)

I keep balking on buying a new one, as I’ve been hoping to find one used. Can’t say that any clean ones have popped-up within a reasonable driving distance for me. The couple that I’ve seen were in really rough shape and weren’t much less than new.

I can understand that. I've been looking for awhile now near me in NC. I have found a few in the 400 range but usually when I don't have the $$ to pick it up at the time. I've seen some of the ones you mentioned, high price and poor quality upkeep. I'll continue the search, I have no problem storing my panels in the bed until then.

I paid 800 for the twill version on my wife's JL last summer. It also came with $100 prepaid gift card. I would caution those buying them off facebook and this is just a thought -- when you get one replaced via warranty, BESTOP will just send you a full replacement. For example, we had one of the z-clips break within a few weeks and they sent me a new one. Now I have one that works perfectly fine just sitting in my garage.

I guess what I'm getting at, just make sure you look them over if buying used, specifically at the z-clips on the side for the cables. I'm not saying people are shady but I think some people would sell the broken ones for cheap without disclosing that.

Just ordered one from tdot performance, a little pricey at $1360 cad tax included and shipped but that was with 10% off. I got the twill as well. Can’t wait to get it on the gladiator!

Just bought one for $799 directly from Bestop, but it was backordered for a couple weeks.

Just went out to the Bestop site to check them out. The "Black Diamond" fabric version is $799.99, but the "Black Twill" is $150 more. Is the twill $150 better?

Replying to myself... ha...

I just found on the Bestop site that the warranty for the Twill version is "limited lifetime" and for the non-twill, it's only 5 years... so that alone makes the twill worth the extra $150 as far as I'm concerned. The warranty is also only valid for the original purchaser, so there's a vote for buying it new - unless you can get it seriously cheap used.

It's a little z shaped pin on the end of the cable in my pictures. It broke off really easy on my first top but was replaced under warranty. You can easily crimp on a new piece but just look out for it if you are looking at a used one. The cable keeps tension on the top when it is closed. If you can find one for cheap and fix it, it's a good deal. I think $800 is too much for what it is.
