I installed the Bestop Supertop on my 2020 Jeep Gladiator.

The directions are OK. They leave you to figure out a lot. They are basic "stick figure" drawings. It would be nice to see color photos.

The top does not fit well. There are gaps in the front that will suck in wind, rain, road debris, and other stuff. The gap is about a ÂĽ of an inch between the rail the bed.

One of the tabs that holds the rear corn in place will not stay in position. This will allow updrafts from the rear to bring water and debris into the bed. Plus, over time the flapping will wear that edge.

The bars that attach the driver and passenger bows do not fit together correctly. They have spring loaded connectors that just simply do not line up. The bows can be pushed closer without them. The top could sag in the right wind conditions or the weight of snow.

I trying to return it. Overall I would say this top sucks and is not worth the time or money.

This is a bummer to see since I just got the shipping notification for mine after waiting many months. Did you contact Bestop with the concerns and did they have anything to say? I'm curious if others have had the same issues. I guess I'll wait to see some of the responses to this thread before I take mine out of the box haha.

Dang, any pictures? I'm still waiting on mine that was ordered back in September. The whole reason I ordered it was because I've seen great examples on other trucks, but I'm getting a little anxious with all these reports of poor fit.

That's unfortunate. I purchased the BestTop Sunrider last year and have had zero issues or concerns. They make good products, but the execution does seem to be lacking on this product.

I have this same supertop and mine looks much better.(I'll see if I have any good pics or not.) Did you double check the measurements of the rail spacing? It seems your back crossbar is too far forward. I'm not sure what's going on here but it looks like it may be installed wrong. (sorry not the greatest pics)

I checked and rechecked. I tried many different adjustments. But setting that aside the front lower cross bar was a 1/4 inch of the bedrail. I could it my fingers through it.

Really moot now, I returned it.

I have some more pics of my Bestop Supertop for truck 2. I took them today. I've had it for 5 months or so now and I really like it. I park it in the garage mostly but I have no wind noise or anything. It does leak in heavy rain and car washes but it's not bad just leaks on the sides and drips onto the wheel wells. Sorry, I don't have pics of the water leaking. This is the Black Diamond material. The twill is much nicer and I kind of wish I paid more for that fabric.

I just wanted to update everyone after I had this through the summer I don't like it as much...

I have owned my bestop supertop for truck 2, in black diamond fabric, for a year now and it doesn't stay closed up. In the first, about 6 months, it was good no issues through the winter here in Salt Lake City. Once the summer came the heat made the material more flexible and it started coming undone. The material itself is durable but where the ”lip” tucks into the rail falls out on the freeway often. If I go off-road the vibration makes all the panels loose and come undone. The ”lips” that tuck into the rails on 3 sides all come out. I think it's due to the heat making the material looser and the vibration of off-roading. I don't know if this happens to the Twill fabric my guess is probably not as bad. Mine is the black diamond fabric which is also hard to clean the dust off of. I wish I would have gotten the Twill fabric but if it has the same issue then I would have wasted even more money so who knows.

And before some one asked ”are the rails the right width apart? Did you measure?” Yes everything is exactly where it is supposed to be. Maybe I will set my rails wider but that will screw up the tonneau cover that uses the same rails. That actually has the opposite problem and the corners stick up on the sides. I don't want to mess with the rails every time I switch them out. That is the whole point of getting both. Lol
