Bikini pearl

I stopped by a dealer to test drive a 2024 Gladiator & ask some questions last weekend. I asked about the buyer guide showing bikini pearl as an option for exterior color & of course the dealership staff knew nothing & said not to go by something I read on a forum. I showed them the buyer guide for ordering & they were still skeptical. This morning I noticed bikini pearl is now an option for searching for in stock 2024 gladiators on the jeep website. Any opinions if this color popping up recently on the filters for colors for searching in stock means the color will be available soon for ordering? It was not an option when searching two weeks ago. ?

This is hysterical because this forum knows a LOT and often says not to go by something heard from a dealer.

Yes! They were mind blown I had the buyers guide too. This was a big city dealership too not a small town one. I should have told them oh that’s nothing on Reddit dealers post below MSRP offers if orders placed through them. ?

From years of working car sales, as a tech, as a lot attendant, and in the internet department, i can tell you that every dealership I ever worked for was big on Mushroom Management (feed em shit and keep em in the dark,). I learned more about how to buy a car from forums than i ever did from selling them.

I really enjoy these days when I get to talk to a dealer knowing what price is reasonable for the dealer to make money and watching the salesmen get this quizzical looks on their faces like I'm stupid, when the reality is they have NO idea what they could be selling these cars for. Management has them believing invoice minus holdback is the real number they own it for. Always fun to watch a manager try to T.O. me and offer something below holdback and see the salesman's face contort because he didn't think that was possible.

If I didn't get my Punk'n this was my second choice on color, seen a Bikini Wrangler and the color is nice. Looking forward to see some Bikini Gladiators rolling around and pictures!

And so my agony officially begins... $30k used EcoDiesel Overland etc in not-bikini and without rear side air bags for the kids, or $50k stripper sport boring 3.6 in Bikini with air bags for the kids....

I have been on the fence & really wanted a Purple Reign Wrangler last year. Then found out the Bikini Pearl was dropping on the Wrangler this year. Glad I waited on the Wrangler because a Gladiator was what I really want!
