Very nice build. Similar to the direction I'm going, but I like your rack set up a lot better.

I started with the 1.5 Teraflex front, 3/4 Daystar spacer rear. I recently put switched that to the Clayton 2.5" Overland Plus lift. I'm still running the factory 33's with the Teraflex 1.75" wheel spacer (decided lift before tires or I'd probably never get the lift). I will be moving the 37's soon and I'm also thinking that I'll be staying with the factory wheel with the 37's. Are you running spacers with those factory wheels?

Here's a pic of mine. It really needs 37's, but the spacers help get the 33's out from under the truck so it doesn't look as bad as it could.

Nice looking JTR you've got ! I'm running 1.75 Synergy spacers with the stock wheels. I was undecided about tires or not for a while. We recently moved from Maine to coastal Georgia, just across the FL line. I held off on buying the 37s until after the move. I'll keep mine with just 1.5 Teraflex in the front and .75 Daystar in the rear. It rides really well and I'm getting older. Climbing in and out of lifted vehicles isn't as easy as it use to be. Besides, my off road experience started while we lived in AZ. We had an 85 Toyota Truggy on 40s with very little lift, but tons of articulation.

Anymore side pictures? I too have decided on the Clayton Overland plus lift, 100% my lift choice. I am struggling with the tire size. I was thinking 37s with 5.13 gears, but with the crazy gas prices lately I am reconsidering 35s with 4.88 gears. My concern with 35s is they might look to small with that lift.

That's funny, I've been thinking the same on gears and tire sizes. I was thinking of going a little lower to the 5:13 with the 37's eventually, but want to drive it with the 4:10's first. I'm thinking that I'm more likely to go with a little bigger tire down the road and I'm not going to re-gear twice.

All that said, I actually think the 35's would be fine with the 2.5" lift. The 33's don't actually look near as bad as I thought (see attached side pic - pardon the snow). Again, the wheel spacers help give it a little better look than it had when they were tucked under the fenders. I would have preferred 1.5 instead of 1.75, but I couldn't get them as quickly.

I love my Clayton lift. You'll be happy with it. Here are my actual lift totals through this process (sorry for the bad formatting, it looked better when I typed it in):

Stock = 5 days after purchase before installing spacers
Before = Teraflex 1.5" spacer Frt/ Daystar .75 Rear
After = Clayton 2.5" Overland Plus - All spacers removed

Measurement Point (Stock Before After)

Front Bumper (top of bumper, above fog light): ( 28 1/2" 29 1/4" 31 1/2")
Front Fender (top of greyish plastic trim): (40 1/2" 41 1/4" 43 1/2")
Rear Fender (top of greyish plastic trim): (40 1/2" 41" 43")
Top of Rear Tow Hook (N/A 27" 30")
Top of Receiver (21 " 21 1/2" 24 1/2")

I've attached the Before measurements so you can see the measurement points My after pics are really out of focus, so I just ran out and remeasured it. It was too dark to hold the camera and get good pics, so you'll have to take my word for them.

Hey Bunk657 - Sorry I missed your response last night. Thanks for the comments on the truck, it still has a ways to go. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the Teraflex and Daystar combo. It'll handle pretty much any tire up to a 37 with the 'Rubi' fenders. And it does ride good. I had no complaints with my setup. I just wanted to get a little more gap between the tires and fenders. I too am getting older and the step in was a little more than I wanted even with the 1.5" spacers. I put in the Rockslide Engineering sliders to give me the boost I needed. Here in Minnesota you don't want to be making a big step out of the truck in the winter and getting no traction! You'll end up on your back before you know it.

Good luck with your move, and enjoy costal Georgia! Gotta love the sunshine upgrade!

Picked up another Gladiator, building up a Wrangler and wanted something for more general use so added a Gladiator just not going to turn this one into a Monster like the last one. Smart Cap and Wheels/Tires probably extent of mods for awhile.

I love the JTR wheels.
Yeah I had the other style rubicon wheel on my old white JTR pre mod and I didn’t care for them as much. These will get rid on the 20s on the High Altitude which was my only main dislike and look okay. Thought about getting them powder coated white but after looking good for ten minutes will probably suck.

Hey! I think I'm officially part of this club! :)

Do I gain extra points for taking it onto an official Badge of Honor trail, bone stock, before I even have the license plates? ;)
