No, the honeycomb is different sizes. Not only are the openings smaller in the honeycomb on the black grill but the grill vertical openings are slightly narrower too. While I may be wrong it doesn’t appear anything swaps over...

And I don’t have a trail cam.

Otherwise it’s a direct fit.

But I can say it doesn’t create any cooling issues. And the black finish makes bug removal fairly easy.

Thank you. I knew it was smaller I was hopeful that they could be changed. Seems silly too offer it but also make a point of how the grill differences allow for the JT to tow above 6000lbs.

From the pic above.. and my own research on the world wide web.. the black jl grille comes with its own mesh.. which is smaller than the JT's.. as far as interchangeability , he has no idea and neither do I till mine arrives. Hope this helps.

When I ordered my JT 9/23 (still waiting) they offered the blacked out grille for my Rubicon but could not get it with the trail cam. I passed. I will pull the grille and repaint if the silver trim bothers me. I am getting Punk’in with black dual tops and black fenders.
