Black Lug Nuts

I went with steelies, and turned 4WP down on the offer to sell me a set of black lugs.... I looked for some, they're all expensive.
I got the se vinyl caps like others have mentioned, IMO even they're pretty high at $1 a pop. Seems like you could find them from McMaster for packing material for much less... lemme look.

What's the finish - powder coat? Can't think of much else that would take the sides of a socket pressing down hard to get the proper torque on 'em.

Ah, it's in the pic and you need to enlarge (hover over) to get that and other details.

I do zinc plating, including black zinc and knew that plating alone wouldn't last on lug nuts as black has the lowest of all of the zinc protections (salt spray test, number of hours to rust)
They sure do a good job pointing out how to correctly use them.

LOL - idiot proof something and a better idiot will be born.
Meaning like IMPACT wrench, wrong nut for the wheel style and so on.
How about the wrong size wrench/socket, on the wrong style wheels? I can see some idiot using those on old style mags.

Haven't you ever seen mag lug nuts holding on steel wheels? Or lugnuts like we have on our JTs used to hold old-school mag wheels on?
I have seen it.
It's amazing. I have rare machined aluminum wheels here with the holes egged out because some idiots use nuts wrong or used the wrong nuts (same thing in a way)

Even some shops do it wrong - impact one nut, go to the next and so on.
Yes, I have seen flat side in because, well, people see nuts on things all the time and the flat always goes against the thing being held, right? (although luckily, THESE can't be put on backwards, they CAN be used on the wrong wheel style)

1" inside height, just barely over 3" true circumference (of the hexagonal lug nut) = 0.955" ID, (15/16") so I'd go with the 7/8"-15/16" option, push-on, black. Link below.

I bought the ones off of quadratec, and have been happy with them. No wheels have fallen off and no problems after 2 tire rotations. The only complaint i have is with the wheels not the lug nuts, The wheels look like they are painted with the lugn nuts on, as you can see from the silver rings next to the black lugnuts
