Looking at some Black Rhino Outbacks wheels in Gunmetal size 17x8.5 with -10mm offset on 35x12.5 KO 2’s for my Mojave. How much farther can I expect them to stick out verses stock? Any pics would be appreciated.

I am commenting just to tag alone buddy! I just purchased my Gladiator and am curious about the backspacing and how much people are using. I have been a wrangler guy my whole life but this is the first glad for me.

About 2 inches past mine, so maybe 3” from stock.
I had Black Rhino 17x8 +30 with 37x12.5 on them and they stuck out about 1” past the fenders.
So your 8.5 rims are 1/2” (13mm) wider on each side plus your et of -10, compared to my +30.
Ao that is 53mm further out than mine…

Give me a few minutes and I will take some pictures of mine showing how far they stick out…

When I measured these with a straight edge, they were 1.25” past my fenders.

Wheel width is irrelevant to the position of the tire itself when comparing wheel offset. A dozen wheels with the same offset but different widths all position the tire in the same location.
We are talking about how far the tire will stick out compared to stock. So yes wheel width makes a difference….

With a common offset, wheel width will affect where the beads of the tire would be located in space, but the tread/contact patch remains in the same location. This is why wheel offset is a better measurement to compare tire location than wheel backspacing. Tire placement with wheels of common backspacing DOES depend on wheel width. With offset it does not. Look it up if you don’t believe me. I do agree that it will look different, but the tread of the tire doesn’t move.
