Think that oil cooler kit is for a Gen 2, not a gen 3. Don't know what the difference is.
I agree, but just brought it up as a possible basis for us gen 3 folk to explorer

Oil cooler radiator tested good at 80 psi and high pressure tested good at 80 psi. Debating between calling head bad or still try to switch the cooler and hope that it has a micro crack that really opens up at operating temps.

Did you test the oil side, or the water side? it may make a difference. You could always submerse it in boiling water for the test...

This is gen1 and 2 stuff but the design really hasn't changed.
