Traveling down the road yesterday, the right side BSM light came on and stayed on, even though there was no cars near me. Two lane road and almost no traffic. Stopped about 15 minutes later to get gas. When I started back up, all was well. About 20 minutes later, both BSM lights came on and stayed on. Reached our destination and I cut them off in settings.

Did a search on this forum as well as an almighty Google search, but didn't find any information. Anyone run into this? I cleaned the sensor areas when I gassed up to be safe. (JT was clean to begin with) Wanted to see if others had this issue before I take it to the dealer.

We’ve had it happen on tight wooded trails. I disable before trail rides when I remember. Only had what you’re describing happen once, right after a car wash. It resolved itself after things dried off.

It was a warm, sunny day when this happened. Large shoulders. Seemed to work correctly for the first hour of the trip.

Your timing is uncanny. I’ve had the same mirror issue too. I’ve unplugged, replugged, fussed with it and the blind-spot alert stays on the right side mirror. Just so it doesn’t bug me I’ve turned it off through Settings. Going to reach out to the dealer this week.

Did you ever get resolution here? I just bought a 2021 and the BSM is intermittently doing this. Seems random - sometimes it happens and sometimes it doesn't. I've found no rhyme or reason to explain when it happens and when it doesn't. Turning the vehicle off and on again always clears it (so far), but it comes back.

It happens in close quarters, usually tight trees or rocks on a trail. I turn it off when I go off road. It’s never happened during normal driving conditions for me.

Same issue on my passenger side. However, I have noticed that it matches the lights for the door locks. Furthermore, when the mirror defrosters are on, all the lights on the door go out (and the mirror defrost lights don’t come on) might be a different problem, but I’d be curious to see if OP has the same symptoms. I’m suspecting a door connector pin is bent, but it’s too dark/late to check that tonight. I’ll give it another look tomorrow with fresh eyes.

Ive been offroad twice now in my 2025 and each trip after I am done and going down the road I will notice both mirrors are lit up solid until i stop and restart the truck. Pretty annoying honestly.

After a certain amount of close quarters narrow trail riding, the sensors error out. I just turn them off prior to starting tightly wooded trails, and turn them back on after.

On my 2020 rubicon, the blind spot lights will come on during dusty trail rides. Cleaning off the rear sensors will clear it on restart.

i cant say ive really been on what i would call narrow trails, but some mountain side gravel roads and trails where the sides are fairly close at times. Its annoying that its been both times so far.

I thought the sensors were in the tailights? The tailight sides really arent that dirty.

Same. Just turn them off when you’re on those types of trails.
