I have a 2020 Gladiator Mojave that is new to me. I have had it about 1 month and put maybe a 1k miles on it.it has a total of 29k miles. I have an issue with the passenger side Blind Spot monitor. It will work for the most part, but every now and then it will say the Blind Spot monitoring system has been disabled and the indicator light in the passenger mirror will stay on. As if you were passing somebody. I have also noticed that when I use the remote start the system will fail all of the time.
if I disable the system through the settings on the dash then turn the system back on it will work.
I have not taken anything apart, because I don’t know where to look.
I am familiar with JK’s but not the JT’s.
Any thoughts?

People Work?
Sensors are in the tail lights.
2020 would be overdue for new batteries.
Can you tell if the previous owner had a Tazer or other device that may have been used to alter settings?

Other will suggest more.

I did not know the sensors had batteries. I will check this out, replace them and see what that does.
Thanks for this info.

I don’t think there is anything else electrical that is remaining from a programmer change. Electronically everything else is working as it should be.

He was referring to the truck batteries. One of the symptoms of battery issues is the Remote Start not working.

The sensor issues could be due to a battery issue, problem with a sensor, or a poor connection in the light circuit.

This happened to me couple times when I'm on a narrow switchback trails. But, the system would deactivated both sides though. Do you have anything covering the thail lights?

Ah. Thank you for the clarification. I was wondering about that. Being new to this stop/start stuff I didn’t know there was a second battery until I started looking up “batteries” for the Gladiator.
I do believe I will invest in a Tazor Mini. I had a Trail Dash tuner in my Wrangler.
Thanks again for the help.

2020 JTR here. This occasionally happens to me too - start the truck and both blind spot indicators on the mirrors are lit up and the system is unavailable. Next time I start, it works no problem. this probably happens like once a month or so. I do have the Oracle replacement taillights. Its not a big deal to me, but thought I'd chime in since we have the same year JT though your issue sounds a little different in that only the passenger mirror indicator lights up.

This last Monday I took both rear tail lights off of my Gladiator. I took both tail lights apart and pulled the sensors out of each. Used an air compressor and cleaned out both tail light housings. And also the sockets of the plugs. Then I wiped down both sensors. When I reassembled them I switched the sensors to the opposite side from which they came, and reassembled. (Before I plugged the connectors for the sensors, I put a thin coating of grease on the outside of the male socket to help it seat easier.). Once everything was reassembled, started the Gladiator, both with the start button and using the remote. Knock on wood, but so far things are working.
