Blindspot Mirror lights staying lit

Did a search, didn't see anyone else that may be experiencing this. Hopefully, i'm just missing something easy. Noticed this a few days ago when I had the bed loaded, tailgate was in half position. Once on the freeway, I noticed the right mirror orange triangle was lit. Left one came on shortly after and both stayed on until I shut off and restarted. I thought maybe it had something to do with the tailgate, but it's happened again, and yet again with gate closed. ....just add this to the HVAC blowing hot air issue when I go in for next service?

I haven’t noticed mine staying on but noticed today that the drivers side wouldn’t light up on the interstate but very now and then when a car passed by but would stay on when in the left lane next to a guardrail.

how clean is the truck, could a sensor have some dirt or grime interfering?

There could be road film from driving through rain but no actual dirt or mud on it.

Ice (or dirt) on the sensors will cause a false reading.
