I mean, I guess it's possible to blow LEDs.. I tried a search, but maybe I didn't search the terms for the match I'm looking to find.

I bought my '22 JTR 3 months ago and have been buried in snow or single digit temps until a few weeks ago and I'm only now getting to troubleshooting my fog lights not working.

Tested:
- Switch works, dash light goes on/off with button.
- Fuses all have power to each side
- Tested harness, - & + both check out, + has either 12.xx or 14v (I can't remember) at each harness that plugs into the light.
- Removed lights from truck and bench tested; neither lights up, even switching polarity.

I doubled check using a cheapo LED with my bench set up and it worked fine.

Tomorrow I will try to use the OEM harness with my cheapo LED and see if I can make it light up.... I just ran out of time today.

Has anyone else seen this happen? The lights look in good shape otherwise, no signs of water intrusion, water droplets inside, not cracked, etc.

SideNote: My 2020 JTR Factory LED looked similar, but all 1 piece reflector set on the interior. (On a plastic bumper) IE: Like the pic w/the mount showing.

So, I'm also a bit confused to what an OEM light looks like on a steel bumper.
This is a photo of my current light, it looks kinda factory, but also looks cheap maybe a knockoff.

Searching eBay and I'm seeing this light listed as both OEM and OEM replacement.

Is that MYUTEK? Certainly is a strange manufacturer’s name for an OEM part. I’ve seen the temperature specs for LED lights but I thought it just prevented them from working (cold temperatures).
High temperatures I can see burning them out but not low temps.

Indeed, it's hard to make out, but it's Myotek. They've apparently been around and making OEM lighting since 1997 and have FCA as a listed OEM part.

I ended up just ordering some DD LED Fog replacements as they are amber and SAE.

Also: after repeated harness testing and bench testing the lights, they are in fact DOA and even then confirmed the harness by adding in cheap-o LEDs and they worked fine.

Hope the new lights arrive soon.

I wonder if the cold killed them? Or maybe snow hitting a hot heatsink popped it loose so it could no longer soak the heat away?? I’m very curious.

I just don't know, but for better clarity, they were blown when I bought the Jeep (I didn't notice until after).
The Jeep is from the Woodbridge area of VA, so cold & snow, not likely.
I'm wondering if the it was an issue from a poor wiring job when the previous owner was adding other acc. or something.

When I find the time I plan to take them apart to see what's up. I figure worse case, they get tossed, best case I can fix them or use the shell for a mount for other lights and move the new lights as ditch lights or something.

They don't make their own.......... not unusual to find the electric company that made them have a name on there - but usually with the MOPAR part number and their emblem. Look at the electrical connectors - the company's name that made them, their part number on the shell and nothing indicating MOPAR.

There are two different light assemblies - they mount differently in the plastic bumper than the steel.

I've noticed my wife's 2023 JLU fog lights looked different than the factory fog lights in my Overland, even though they have the same front bumper.
Supplier differences, perhaps?

I see many options for replacing the factory fog lights, but I don’t see the specs for the factory LED fog lights? What is their lumen output, or candelabra? If replacing, I would want an increase of output.

Good luck finding specs on factory lighting. It's not like they must publish it since they come with vehicles, not compete in the aftermarket marketplace.

I went with DiodeDynamics. Good output, and the selective yellow is what's truly recommended by experts.

Bottom line with fog lights - it's the pattern you need to be concerned with. If more concerned with raw output, you aren't using them as fog lights.

Exactly.
In the past 10 years here in Southern California I have seen fog about 5 times and three of those were this year.
I was thinking of putting some offroad driving lights in there. I see a number of choices and was curious as to the numbers so I could make an educated decision.
There is another thread where they installed lights inside the grill. I really like that idea but if I could simply replace the LED fog lights, then bam. Easy peasy
