To resurrect this thread, I originally planned to custom order my 2022 Mojave but during the pandemic I just couldn't wait for over a year to get it so I grabbed what they had on the lot. It's a Sarge Green with some options but no LEDs. I figured I would upgrade them later. The view, with the fog lights on, wasn't bad at all. It actually projected a nice long view of the road ahead. I do however wish to upgrade to aftermarket LEDs and came across this set from ledfactorymart.com

Has anyone installed these? also, when swapping out to LEDs does the dealer need to flash the ECM in order to make them work properly without spitting out codes? Or should I just bite the bulled and order the more expensive Jeep brand and have them install them? I just hate to give them more money than they are worth. I saved over $500 bucks on the hard tonneau cover and I installed them myself. Also did a sport bar setup which I plan on installing lights later on..

thoughts?

Have these on all three Jeeps....absolutely love them.

Since I have had my JTRD for a few months now after starting this thread I figured I would give my take on this. Now do I regret not getting the LED's? For the most part yes. I've driven halogen equipped cars for years so its not like I am not use to them. I see just fine with them although I do think the brights are lacking a bit. I will be upgrading as time goes by to the factory LED lights up front. Have already replaced the taillights with LED. I guess as I get older and my eyes age I do prefer the LED lighting. Just thought I would reply since I started this and give my thoughts to my question

I agree with you. LED package was something I wanted and no dealers had any with my options on the lot so I settled for halogen. The halogens suck. I found a brand new set last week of OEM LED headlights and swapped them out and it’s night and day the difference. Would not go without them again.

Get the LED package. It is the best option. Snow and ice do build up on them but I guess it would depend on how much it snows where you are. If I living in a heavy snow area, I would figure out how to heat them. Still, I can see way better than with the muggle lights.

I took WayaLifes advice and got cheap LED replacement bulbs for my halogens. They really light up the night, just remember to adjust the angle of the headlights (easy enough to do with a Phillips head) down so you're not blinding oncoming traffic.

I drove the JK in some rain the other day that has Morimoto Sealed 7s. And they absolutely suck. LED just will never be able to launch light as far or intensely as an HID. I've probably got about as much into my AAL turn signals, rear taillights, HID headlights, and KC fog lights + some time in labor, as what the factory LED group costs. But absolutely nothing else on the road has more lumens better aimed, projected, cut off, etc than me aside from another retrofitter. If I had gotten factory LEDs I would have bought these upgraded lights anyway. Why pay twice for everything?
