Bluetooth messages iOS

Is there a way to make this time out, or go away after a few secondsFrustrating having to clear the screen every Time.

Also, can you keep it from announcing new messages on the speakers? Just a beep or tone is all that’s necessary, I think. It’s just annoying hearing “New text message from wife!!”, multiple times when I’m riding with my bro’s.
I know I can turn off notifications from my phone, but I still want to get the alerts.

Where are the settings for that? When I plug it into CarPlay, it doesn't show my messages at all when I get them. I have to look at my phone to see that I have received a message.

i don't believe carplay allows you to view messages while you are moving, i primarily use my galaxy when in the car vs my iPhone from work.

If you open your iPhone settings and go to Notifications then Messages you’ll see a toggle for “Show in CarPlay”.

It's all read to you/voice-to-text. You can't actually see/read your text in CarPlay.

I know. I just want it to send me a notification when I receive a text.

I think jsalbre answered my question. I now just have to try it out.

Go to Bluetooth settings on your phone when its connected to Gladiator and disable message access. see screenshots... I believe this fixed it.. I had my daugter spam text message me and nothing after turning that off.
