Maybe it's being a color flare or pic's angles, but the Sport flares sure look quite a bit narrower than the Max Tow flares.
Especially the width of the DLR/ Turn signals.
We know the Max Tow have the extended flare lip, but it also looks like the flares are actually wider...
I never noticed this being so pronounced on the Overland Trim???

Looks like the painted Sport Fenders are the same as the Overland flares... Makes sense...

Yes - because they both have the same axles/axle width.

Jeep should have just put the Rubicon flares on the Sport Max Tow...
Eliminate the added Flare lip and give the Max Tow an added appearance element..
They have the same axles minus the lockers...
And take away the Rubicon unique-ness............ I see why they didn't - it would muddy things up further. As it is, I'm not sure why there are even three levels of the JT............ but the Rubicon is their gold mine and to make anything else any more similar would take away from that.

It should be a factory option to get the higher fenders on the max tow, even if its just a $295 option like the painted ones. The lip looks horrible but I want a gladiator with a manual so no max tow for me

Yup... All Rubicon's prior to the JL and JT had the same fenders as the Sport and Sahara models....

This could push me to pull the trigger sooner.
Here at 4WP in El Paso Tx, this owner just purchased this SportS because of same flare and LEDs options.

Like me, they didn't want Leather seats or dash... and the Overland flares look great, and do split like the Rubi.

Wish this was an option when I bought my JT

Anybody know the part number for the painted bumper and part numbers for the painted fender flares?

When you build a Sport S with the max tow package it defaults back to the black fender flares. Makes me think that the body colored flares are not available with the max tow package.
This is my build sheet from FCA

Looks like the Sport S is standard with painted fenders now. Doesn't cost extra to have the black ones, but a different box to tick. Mack's Toe seems to be available with either fender.
