Bought a new truck cap.

Bought this a few months ago and it finally came in. I will say if I did not absolutely need this for a road-trip I would be sending it back for detail work. You can tell they are trying to fly through these orders, the fine detail work is slipping. I would rate it a 90% from some other toppers I have had but it came with a free carpet liner so does that make it even?

I feel your pain. I needed one for moving and the one I got was clearly one of A.R.E's early Rhino Lined type top. Splotchy, uneven spray and the aluminum window trimming leaves something to be desired. However, it serves it's purpose and will only be on temporarily.

I’m in the same boat. I only use it twice a year for trips to put the dogs in the bed. A lot of money to be spent for it to not be perfect but it is what it is.

I agree which is why I still bought theirs, just a little disappointed in quality control. I had chunks of fiberglass I had to file down for proper fitment. One corner by the tailgate was done right other was so thick it was rubbing the bedside. Another chunk was about a 1/4 inch bubble of fiberglass that I can’t get filed down without getting into the paint. These are just a few examples.

Oh yes i am aware, I to have a ARE bought last year in the throws of covid. Nothing terrible but annoying, time will tell how it fairs.

My last two toppers have been from Leer ... they are what they are. My biggest complaint was the latching mechanism on the rear glass. I couldn't get that thing adjusted to save my life. Would work great one day and then not want to latch the next? ... no way I'm paying the $$$ they are asking these days!
