Bubbled Dash?

Has anyone had the dash wrap from the factory bubble like this? Jeep is 2020….

Is your truck still under warranty? I’d take that in ASAP, as it looks more like melting than it does warping to me. Have you don’t any electrical work to your JT?

It JUST passed 36,000 miles. No electrical work done. Its the darndest thing. I believe youre right…. Its more like melting. I guess i will head to the dealership and she how bad this is gonna cost to fix

I would be pulling that right away and make sure theres no melted wires behind the dash that could start a fire

That looks like a chemical reaction to me. You cleaned it with something that it didn’t like being cleaned with. That’s the rubberized coating peeling off of the plastic underneath. Not caused by heat from underneath.

Thats the funny part… i havent cleaned the i side of the Jeep in months with anything other than mild soapy water. There isnt a chemical to react with

The HVAC control bezel trim has the same like coating on it. I bet that part just had a bad prep at the supplier when coated and now is just starting to fail.

Hopefully the do a "Goodwill" warranty replacement or cost sharing since you mentioned just being out of the 3/36K bumper to bumper warranty.

That looks like a chemical reaction. It appears to be a painted surface that was subjected to a very strong solvent. Sometimes that effect will occur when using lacquer thinner over enamel paint. Just my humble 77 year old opinion.

I use chemical guys (yeah I know) interior cleaner. Smells like coconut!
