I ordered a Bushwacker Bug deflector tonight. After thinking about it a few days I went ahead and pulled the trigger. The weather is getting warmer and the bugs are already getting bad. I'm just hoping that it actually helps. If not, at least it looks pretty nice and matches the other black trim on the Gladiator. Do any of you guys have bug deflectors? And do they actually help?

So, I got the Bushwacker Bug Deflector installed this past weekend. I like the way it looks and blends in with all the other black trim on the Jeep. I haven't driven it enough to know if it actually helps to deflect bugs yet.

Not a fan of the Unibrow look (maybe a clear or color matched deflector would work for me) and I'm dubious about Bug Deflectors in general.

Curious to hear if these actually work.

In the end, because it's functionality seems moderate, it comes down to personal opinion re aesthetics. I have one on my Deep Cherry Crystal JK and that rig likes black accents. I'm on the fence for my new Anvil JT. If I do get one, it will not be translucent ... what an ugly mess that must be with rock chips, bug guts and sand blasting from road rash.

I like the look. It matches and ties in the black accents of the hood and the front fenders. That said, I got it more to protect the leading edge of the hood against road debris and bugs when flat towing behind our motorhome. For that it works.

I bought the Mopar bug deflector. I like the way it mounted and it looks nice especially with the Jeep emblem on it. However, it did absolutely nothing for stopping the bugs from splattering all over the windshield.

I like mine (same style as OP is getting). I dont like the way it looks more than I like not having one but I dont think it looks bad. As for whether or not it works, how is this measured? I certainly dont see any nicks on the front of my hood, but thats bcuz it covered by the deflector. Not having one on other vehicles results in having those much more often. So... dunno. I'm ok w/it.
