bugs with uconnect/android auto

not sure if anything can even be done about these, but there are 2 annoying things I've come across with playing music through my android phone. I have a 2022 sport S with the standard system.

first issue: the steering wheel controls for forward/back don't work like 70% of the time when I first connect my phone. I have to turn the audio system off then on to fix it.

second issue: when I get a text, the system quiets the music to play the text message sound, and then brings the volume back up again, but quieter than it was before. Once again I have to turn the entire system off then on again to get back to original volume.

As for mine EVERY time I start me jeep it calls MY cellphone...I have been to the dealership and worked with uconnect but still something....I now have @JeepCares involved hoping they can fix it....

Buggy to be sure. I have the JT Overland with 8.4" U-Connect with Premium audio and experience odd occurrences occasionally. Plugging directly in with a USB cable mitigates some of the issues cable. I was trying a wireless usb/wifi carplay adapter and while it worked, it caused some of the bugs. My Wife's '21 JL with the 8.4 U-Connect premium audio died after 30 days - nothing but static and faint sound through the speakers; the dealer replaced it under warranty.

Mine did some weird stuff yesterday. Pretty much wouldn't load up and actually went blank for a few seconds. I have the 7 inch screen and I don't remember any problems with my Ram 3500 with the 8" screen.

Pixel6 - Only issue I have is that I get a message that it's unable to connect with the device sometimes. Just leave it a minute and it connects and launches Waze, etc.
I use Spotify for streaming and Auri Music for local files.
No real issues beyond that minor annoyance.
Always use the USB and I do not pair my phone to the U-Connect system.

@JeepCares CarPlay inexplicably stopped working in both my Gladiator and '22 Challenger Hellcat, tried multiple phones and USB cords, projection manager enabled, CarPlay enabled, phones updated, reset, etc. SUPER frustrating/aggravating, never had an issue with it before...
