Sharing the experience - captured on this 1 min video & posting here as evidence & context to serve as example for others who are reporting same.
Summary:
dash goes haywire, power steering goes out, windshield wipers come on, locker indicator (in console by locker toggle) light flashes.
Engine still runs fine, headlights/turn-signals work fine, shifting (manual) & braking work fine.
Similar to this YouTube video:
Dropped it off at dealer today, ubered to rental place and will wait for them to get it in next week to diagnose.
More context:
2023 Gladiator, 3,300 miles, all pavement so far.
I was driving along and the dash went haywire, power steering goes out, so I pull over and realize the computer is just having a glitch.
Power it off, start it back up and everything seems okay (except now CEL is on).
I figure, with an intermittent issue like that, it might happen again, so I put my camera on it for the easy hi-way drive. About 15 minutes into the drive, is when it happens again (as shown in video.)
Pull over, stop, restart, all good.
About 15 minutes later, it happens again. I was on freeway at that point, so i just kept driving to my destination, and parked.
About 2 hours later, I go to leave and when I start it up, now itās just stuck on the glitch and rebooting ever so often.
Drove it home, then to dealer this morning.
At least they wonāt be chasing intermittent issue - it seems to be persistently stuck on stupid.
Iāve been hating on Tesla for other reasons these past few weeks, but good grief⦠Cāmon Stellantis.
We used to drive around with extra fuses in the glove box.
Now I need a 10 gallon container to keep spare bcm, bus rig, fuse box and all the random spare parts to fix this junk and not wind up stranded and/or paying for a rental.
The rental is cutting into my mod budget! :/
Anyway - trusting dealer will find something to band-aid in the next few days and Iāll be back on the road.
Just posting because⦠if we donāt keep saying something, Stellantis isnāt going to get the point that brand loyalty only goes so far⦠Tens of thousands of dollars for a primary vehicle isnāt a decision to take lightly⦠and if the vehicle has to leverage warranty all the time, then itās time to dedicate some MUCH deeper investments in Q&A.
