So, I pulled the trigger & paid $47K Out the door On a $54k MSRP Mojave. It had a few extras more than my preference, but at least it had 95% of everything I did want. No bs or Market adjustments from the dealer. pretty smooth transaction, mostly sorted out via email. I got financing from my credit union@ 2.49% for 72 months as well, as i believe it is a way better use of inflation over those years than paying cash i could be investing.

Got the deal at Anderson CDJR in Lake HAVASU, AZ. Worked with Mike Harris there, decent salesman & offroad racer. Look 'em up online, they have quite a few Gladiators in stock. :like:

Great job. $47k out the door (with tax, tag, and title) is awesome!

I very much agree about locking in the financing at that rate too - even if you have the cash, at 2.5% you’re very likely to win out investing the funds over the term.

Should clarify, as out of state buyer, all the dealer got from me was $47k.. the great state of Nevada & County of Clark are getting their almost $5k on the transaction.

Still. That AZ dealership you mentioned has some pretty amazing discounts on Gladiators. My local dealers would never, ever be willing to match those prices. Well, at least under the current state of affairs.

Thanks for clarifying. That's still a great deal, even if no longer "best I've ever heard of" level. I'm also at $54k MSRP and $47k to the dealer for my Gupton order, so you still did as approx. as well and didn't have to order and wait. Nicely done.

Also, your Nevada car taxes sound brutal :(

Yeah, my local dealers couldn't either. That's why I road-tripped out a few hours.. worth it. They also had a bunch of Mojaves, many w/o the leather I don't want in 117 degrees & a few in that hydro blue I've always wanted:)

Yeah, I'm happy given that I now have Gladys for our camping trip. Think I emailed Gupton as well when flying out & driving back seemed the best option. lol Our sales tax is crazy high, but no income tax so it balances out?

I live in PHX so I know heat. I've had fabric and leather. I'll take the leather every time. The fabric was surprisingly hotter.

Can I order a 21 now and if they release the 22's with a color not already expected, can I cancel my order and re-order the 22?

No idea, maybe because these trucks are selling like hot cakes. However if I remember another thread properly, I think there’s a deposit for customization that may not be returned. I’d speak with a sales guy you prefer to get specifics.

Washington car sales are under use/sales tax... so tack 10% onto the cost. Even if you buy out of state, you have to pay tax.

I'm wondering how dealers are going to survive in the next few years.

They're paying well over the value on used cars for people to swap to new cars. That means the wholesale prices are going up.

Dealers are going to be saddled with overpriced cars when production gets back to normal. Manufacturers are going to assist, which puts them in a bind, so they'll just jack the MSRPs up 5k, allow dealers to knock off some and keep what's left.

Also the hard push for dealer financing where they get kickbacks.

I'm thinking the car sales market is going to have a rough stretch coming up.

Long term effect will probably mean the whole industry will start to adhere to sticker pricing and little to no discounts/haggling.

lookin at a 2021 Gladiator Overland MSRP $54,990 internet price $47,437. This includes all available incentives. How would this compare to a Green sheet??? I have not talked to the dealer.
Thanks for your thoughts
