The mojave is the best driver for sure. But if you want to lift it the mojave might be the least practical

Just looked at a 2023 Rubicon. It had an MSRP of $62,000 and I could get it for $48,865. I was tempted, but they would only give me $32,000 for my Gladiator Sport S. May go back. It had everything I was looking for.

Good luck on your purchase OP.

I'm really digging the Punkin color that I'm seeing hit area lots. Not usually a orange fan but it really looks sharp. Trying to stay strong and not trade lol.

Any advice if I should take advantage of the 17k to 20 k discounts on the lower end model or go for the Mohavie right out of the gate

If you want to guarantee you make the right decision, get half drunk before you go back. It usually works for me.

Last week I picked up a 2023 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon. Ended up getting almost 15k knocked off MSRP with mark downs and rebates, dealership gave me 9.5k more then what my Buyout was on my trade and 2k over book value for my trade. So I did the deal.

I wouldn't turn my nose up at someone trying to give me 10-15K off a new truck and give me more than what my trade books for. Don't look a gift horse in the mouth. I would buy the baddest truck on the lot, at the very least, the one I've always wanted. If things seem like they're getting worse, it's because they are. If you think things are bad now, wait till this time next year. We are in the beginning stages of Weimar Germany. If there's anything at all you want or need, you'd best get it bought.

I also looked at multiple JT's when I was looking to purchase back in the summer. I looked at new and used at different locations within a few hundred miles of my house. I drove multiple JT's - Sports (dealer modified), Overland, Willys, High Altitude, Mojave, and Rubicon's. It finally came down to how I felt when I drove that one vehicle and how it was setup. I sold my JKU to one dealership and then drove 3 hours and bought my JTR from a private owner because it was the exact one I wanted. Yes, I could have gone cheaper and more than likely been happy but my gut told me to purchase this one. So I went with my gut and oh it has a 3 year extended warranty that goes through 2026 (that helped).

Buy the cheaper model spend the discount on upgrades that are better the factory equipment. The hood and decals are cheap you like the look upgrade.

How comfortable are you doing your own part installs? People here correct me if I am wrong, but the things that make a Mojave a Mojave are:

Slightly wider axles
A small lift
higher fenders
Better shocks
Coil springs with a different rate
Wheels and larger tires.

If you are comfortable installing things yourself you can do all of those at home for less than the upcharge on a Mojave.

Talk dirty to them and see which ones talk back, then buy the one that runs the best.

When everyone who isn't the owner of your possible truck talks about simply adding aftermarket parts (other than very superficial stuff like decals), you the owner better keep in mind possible warranty problems.

In general, get what you want if you can afford it.
