Cab weather cover

Hi forum members - I’m looking for a weather cover and wondering if anyone has any recommendations. It would be to cover the cab when the front doors are off. Most covers seem to be designed to fit when the roof is also removed, but I keep the roof on - I have a JCR half rack on the rear roof, and the front has a Sunrider. I want to be able to leave the front doors off overnight, but keep it protected from rain, etc. And it has to fit over the roof / Sunrider / JCR rack…

I have the Mopar cover. Never tried it with roof on still... it might work. Otherwise there is the Rain Gear that I have heard a lot of good on as well.

The Mopar cover is pretty tight with the top on. I can't see it working with a rack on the rear roof.

I have the quadratec. It should work but depending on how tall the rack is there may be a gap at the bottom of the door opening. Tie down straps have a lot of adjustment so you still should be able to secure it.

It is. I have it. It works over the cab.

Here's my pics of the Bestop cover of my OEM (Bestop) soft top. Under the cover, the full doors are removed but the Tube doors with full size mirrors are installed.

I'll let you decide if it will work with your set-up or not... It might do its job, IF your roof rack is empty... ?

I edited my original post to address your question. I don't know what I was thinking by not including them.

Also keep in mind, some covers out there are just that, pretty much a fabric that covers/shades your Jeep but does very little more. However some of them are made of thick & waterproof materal. Personally, I would not bother buying one unless the material is water proof... that way water only gets along the edges of the cover.

Regarding the retro stripes, my dealership orded it that was from Jeep. I think they are part of the "retro graphics" kit from Mopar Performance. It was on their lot like this when I bought it... I didn't like them at first, but has certainly grown on me.

If you end up with a cover that is not as waterproof as you like, you can spray it with waterproofing.

Starbrite makes a great waterproofing product. We use it on boat covers. Water beads and rolls right off for quite awhile after treating. This stuff:

I would have bought from them too, but their website said "out of stock" at the time.

I pretty much only use my cover when doors are off (and I only have the doors off when I'm running the soft top).

I ordered this one from Amazon and have used it a few times. It did keep the rain out but it wasn’t a bad storm or anything So it has been fine so far.

I‘m sure the Rain Gear is probably a little better quality but I didn’t want to spend that much for one as little as I will need it. Most of the time my Gladiator is in a garage.

Here’s a picture of it on my Gladiator with 2 front Rugged Ridge Fortis tube doors. I also have a BesTop Sunrider. I can’t really say if it will work with a roof rack or not - a little room at the back but not a whole lot.

And, as a bonus… if you have a Jeep TJ (not unlimited) a JT cab cover fits it too! My Mopar cover sees more use on the TJ than it does in the JT
