Gdday!

I am contemplating getting aftermarket wheels within the next year or so for my 2021 Willys JT. I am currently running 285/705R17 BF Goodrich All Terrain T/A K02s on stock wheels and no lift (although I may do a 1.5" Terraflex level on it). All the rims I have looked at had wildly differing offsets. IIRC The stock offset is 44mm (assuming that in the absence of a +/- sign it is assumed to be +44 mm offset). When selecting the wheels I want to get, I want the tires to stick out no more than 1"-2" MAX. over stock or past the fender wells. Is there a way of calculating how much the tire will stick out based on the offset and or backspacing of any particular wheel? Is there an on-line app that can do that like the tire diameter calculators that are out there on the interwebs?

TIA

Spent a lot of time figuring out which wheels I wanted. Went with the AEV Salta at a +25 offset. My personal preference as i didn't wan't much tire poke.very happy wit the result.

If you’ll never lift, +25 on a 8.5” wide wheel will be closest to flush. AEV and Method make wheels in +25. If you want to lift, you’ll need a bit more. Here is my 17x8.5-0mm offset on a Max Tow (wider axle like the Rubicon). 35x10.5 tires. 4.75” backspacing and that’s the highest backspacing to fit a Clayton kit.

Depends on the lift, AEV makes a couple different lifts for the JT that can run up to 37” tires on their wheels with their lifts, Mopar lift should work with +25 wheels as well.
