I can’t figure out how to turn on the defrost on the mirrors to be honest I didn’t try that hard but"........
I also can’t figure out how to get the center stack to show what gear your in? I figured it out in the jlur but am stumped in the jtr!

Mileage question. If you regear to 488 with 37s how much better is your gas mileage? Talking rubicon with 410s no lift yet

Right now at 70 mph on freeway. It turns 2000 rpm in 8th. And holds ok. At about 70 it will jump,up to about about 2500 rpm when it down shifts I did the gear work sheet thing and if I recall correctly 8th at 70? (Can’t remember) runs 2666.

So The motor feels like it is lugging a little at just below 2000 rpm Does that mean it is using a lot more gas ?
Is the motor more efficient turning over slightly higher revs. Say 2500 -2700 rpm than it is when down around 1900 rpm

The mirror defrosters are automatic: they come on with the windshield defroster under a certain temperature.

Play around with the center stack with the buttons on left side of steering wheel. It will give options to show what your in.... Say P park, D drive , N neutral, R reverse. If you continue it will give you the option to see what speed in D drive your in.

At 65 mph in 8th on level ground +/- 2000 RPMs, I get about 21 mpg.

I have a no lift JTR running 35" BFG KO2 T/A's at 38 psi cold, heavier steel bumper and heavier duty rock rails. No winch as yet.

In cold, low teens, snow and winter gas and remote starting, I average 18 mpg all around.

The MPG loss is due to aerodynamics (flat highway) and weight (acceleration). re-gear will help you with some acceleration to better utilize the transmission but you will not gain much for highway flat MPG because you will always fight the wind.
