Just upgraded by 7.1 screen to the Phoenix Automotive screen. Can anyone tell me if this factory radio would fit in my daughters 2009 Wrangler? I'm failing in my search terms and cant' find an answer.

If it's the same size as a standard "double din" car stereo it should fit. Not sure how about going about functionality, but I'm sure it can be figured out.

You would have to get a harness with the plug from a JL or a JT and then figure out how to get the can bus to talk to it. easier to just get an aftermarket double din.

You won't find any JK to JL/T adaptor.

The wiring colors could be the same Jeep to Jeep even though JK and JL/T, if so and you are technical enough you could just tap into them.

Here is what you can do. Get a JL/T adaptor, plug it into your Gladiator, and map all the pin positions and standardized colors on the adaptor. Return the adaptor.

Now go get the pigtail for the back of your radio... use your mapping from above and connect to the JK adaptor which will have the same standardized colors.

The basic functions will work but you won't get the vehicle controls.

That is a bridge too far. There is still a market to sell it for $300-$400 but it is getting smaller since they made the 7.0/8.4 radios now standard across all models for new builds.
