I really like the look of the Rubicion factory fenders when chopped, color matched. Do fender liners fit well enough with them? I could just buy some Rubicon's and do the RR chop LED kit. But then it's not that different money from the Metalcloaks unless it's some takeoffs.

There really aren't a lot of options I like. Metalclaocks look good and can be painted but $$$.. But they do have the liners that work with.

DV8 are better looking imo but come powder coated. If they could sell raw I would do tomorrow.

What else is there that can be painted?

Metalcloak does have liners, but you are looking at another $750 for bare aluminum. If you do go Metalcloak, I have a new in box set of the Metalcloak rear fenders in bare steel in my garage, that I won in a contest from them, that I will not be installing anytime soon, and could be made available and I am in nor cal. DM me for details if interested.

I think my #1 choice is going to be just buy some Rubicon color matched from factory to avoid any painting, and add the Adventure Lab brace/light kit. Then a not $750 liner from Motobilt

But... if I decide on Metalcloak I will let you know today :like:

Spoke to Motobilt, fenders and liners set for the JT may be coming very soon, will wait and see what they offer.

Jeep wants $750 +/- for unpainted Rubicon fenders. Nope!

The Rugged Ridge Max Terrain fenders are supposedly coming out soon for the Gladiator. These are about the most budget friendly to include the DRL lights. You would still have to buy inner fenders with it but you could be all in under $900 and retain a somewhat OEM look.

Plastic though. Can pay a little more for for steel tube fenders.

That's true. I do like the steel fenders just prefer the more OEM look. I don't know if RR will ever release them anyway...

Look for what Motobilt releases soon. If they get interest. It'll probably be OEM inspired but 3/16 steel.

That would be of interest to me. I have been debating fenders for 6 months and still haven’t found exactly what I want. I want to avoid the narrow pinched in look of the front end that almost alll the replacement fenders end up looking like. I like that the factory fenders are 8” wide where they meet the grill. I do want something steel or aluminum to replace the plastic however.

For my needs, I prefer aftermarket metal fenders that have inner bracing as the sheet metal is very thin (I didn’t even use much force when drilling my PS rocker skin and the sheet metal look like it was about to warp). If Motobilt might consider adding inner bracing, I might consider, otherwise I still like the look of oem with slim Drl.

They do make a fender brace already. Assume it'll work with whatever they make if it's beneficial

I love 99% of the look of the Gladiator. I absolutely hate the LED strips on the fenders. Are there any options out there that are compliant with DRL laws, but don't look like somebody glued glow sticks to their fenders?
