Catalytic Converter Covers

Are there any specific skids, shields that can be purchased to cover the Catalytic Converter area. They are stealing them everywhere here in Houston and surrounding areas. Figure If I can get some kind of plating or something to bolt up and cover that area and make it more difficult. I can't get mine in the garage and they even just hit our company parking lot in broad daylight stealing five cars.

I thought I recall reading they are are “pup” cats and attached or integrated into the manifolds so they are pretty much impossible to steal.

I might have to do some research as was not familiar with the setup.

They bolt right up to exhaust manifolds tucked into the frame rails.

The rice burner next door is an easier mark than the JT.

Thanks for the info. I still may try to find some sort of skid plate or something that covers that area just to make it as hard as possible on them.

Don't bother, control arms are below them. You won't find anything to cover that area.
