Dealership. I had to wait 2 weeks for them.
Dealership told me 3 weeks on my JLU. Mine lasted 43K miles. Drove to Vegas about 100 miles and when I pulled into dealership it was surging and sputtering. Then stalled. Vegas dealership said 2-3 weeks as well. I didn’t trust it to make it back to St George so I said show me some Gladiators. Traded my stalled Jeep for a Mojave one month ago. Miss my JLU and trying to get used to a bed instead of more cargo interior.

Wow, of all the places to break down…. Glad it worked out! I’m wondering though, concerning the issue your JLU had when it stalled, did you find out what caused that? Had you known something wasn’t right for a while? Did you run diagnostics, any codes?

I’m really enjoying this diagnostic tool I have. The first thing it does when plugged in is give me a “smog test”. I see right away the condition of the oxygen sensors, cats, EGR, EVAP, Heater (oxygen sensor heater) etc. About 8 different readings on emission components. You get a “green” or “red” indicator on each thing and then there’s ways to dial it in so everything reads green and it’s running as it should and you can know if you’ll pass State/Provincial smog tests.

@Hootbro have you tried other brands ? I seen extreme terrain had Bosch brand O2 sensors dont know which of tbe 2 would be for upstream versus downstream though
Have not changed a O2 on a Gladiator but have on my then owned 2018 JL. Used a OEM brand NTK/NGK O2 sensor.

Tend to stay away from non OE branded aftermarket. DENSO would be my first pick if NTK/NGK was not available. I also tend to stay away from BOSCH aftermarket unless I know they are the OE for what I am replacing.

It was an O2 sensor code. I didn't really notice anything. As I was driving to Vegas the check engine light started dinging and blinking. Luckily for me I broke down at a dealership and they were desperate to get rid of a Mojave. They gave me $6K more than Carvana offered for my Jeep and exactly what I owed. Then I got $23K off their inflated $70K price tag. So all in all, I got rid of $6K in negative equity and a brand new Mojave for $47K which all of this lowered my payment by $100. I could have walked away from the deal and get more off, but I would have literally had to walk away from the deal. Overall, I'm happy with the deal and knowing I have a full warranty again is nice.

It worked out in my favor this time. That rarely happens. Well, maybe not in my favor because I have since spent $5K on mods that I wouldn't have done if I still had my JLU. Oh well, I like modding.
