Changing Fluids & Temps

How do we feel if I go to dealer and have them change all fluids every 30k miles? That should help with long term of vehicle like 300k miles of engine and trans?

And then I take it these are all the normal readings, or what are the normal values here?

Transmission every 60k is the only deviation to the owners manual that I would recommend. I go 10k on my engine oil, but that is my way of doing things. Stick to the reminder schedule. Don't waste your time and money. Chances are, you will get a new guy learning to do a service on your jeep. Not many seasoned techs doing fluid changes.

its not that hard to change the fluids yourself but it is difficult enough that the dealer can and will fuck it up while charging you out the ass. I do oil every 5k, Brake fluid every 20k, Coolant/Diff/T-case every 50k. None of these are needed at my interval for 98% of glady owners out there. I just beat the piss out of mine so i cover my ass in turn.

yaaa Im unforunately having to go to dealer right while I have warranty? I have a 100k warranty bumper to bumper till Feb 2031

right now Im doing Oil every 4.5-5.5k, and then I just wanted to do all fluids hoping that extra pay every other year beats the big pay out later....etc.

You can do your own maintenance while under warranty unless you got suckered into some dealership provided extended warranty that insists you have every service done with them.

changing you own fluids does not void your warranty. I have 7 year 100,000 miles powertrain warranty.

I thought I read on here if something were to go wrong with powertrain and I want to do warranty and dont have dealer documentation its a hassle. I mean if thats not the case hell ya Ill do my own things...etc. haha.

I’ve done my own oil, diff, brake fluid. I make sure to document what I’ve done and keep receipts. If you have the Jeep app, in the “history” section of Service and Maintenance, it will show what work the dealer(s) have done, but also allows you to “Add a Record,” if you want to document it there as well.

changing you own fluids does not void your warranty. I have 7 year 100,000 miles powertrain warranty.

Don't trust em as far as I could throw em.

Those readings are more than fine. You could run hotter than that and still be perfectly fine. Nothing wrong there at all.

As for the rest - waste of time and money.
These often go over 100,000 miles on just the normal maintenance schedule.
It's yours, do what you want, but I've been at this too many years to believe you will be saving anything at all.

Especially depending on how it's used and driven.

People get so hung up on the numbers - knowing nothing about engines and such in reality, and swear it's the right thing to do because everyone else is doing it, they read about it, others swear on the internet it will save money, none of them are professionals or have any clue.
It's almost like a right of passage, or somehow you become better because you change fluids more often so must know more, or whatever. Crazy.
Heck 50 years ago oil changes were 7500, transmissions, differentials and so on, old technology, open systems, old chemistry fluids but today with modern technology and better fluids - people freak out if you go that long.

I just had my JTM in for oil change. The tech sent me a video of the inspection. When he got to the fluid levels he said that since mine is a 2023 it's recommended to change brake fluid every two years. Any credence to that or is it the basic upsell?

That's been the recommendation by the companies that make brakes and fluids for years. You can test brake fluid but I usually skip the testing and just flush/change it.
