OK guys. Months ago I talked about selling my cj8 and getting a Gladiator. The reason was I wanted something more comfortable. Someone said that the cj8 was worth a lot of money. Well it sold in three days and was purchased by the third caller. He paid 22,000 cash for it. I purchased it in 1998 for 2,500. Now I will go looking for a new Gladiator. I thank you guys for your setting me in the right direction. Chuck

Good for you on your sale. I just sold my 2003 TJ for $21,000.00 with 122,000 mile on the clock it was basically stock. Paid $16,000.00 for it 6 months ago. I wish I could do that more often

Current used car market is crazy fun for those of us in the driver's seat, but it's gotta be hell on anyone who just wants cheap transportation. I sold 2 cars in the past year, first worth about 50% more than it was the year prior (12k->19k), the second worth almost 3x as much as it was the year prior (1500->3900), and my final sale will be getting rid of my 22 Willys lease when my 22 Mojave purchase arrives.

I have to assume the number of us out here dumping late model, low mileage vehicles to buy new ones is probably just exacerbating the problem, but how am i supposed to say no to free money?

That's unreal. I'll be selling my '06 LJ with 138k miles when my gladiator order comes through and I don't think my local market is anywhere near that, but I hope I'm wrong.

I can only imagine what my Scrambler would have sold for in today's market. I sold it for over $23K in the 103-day period between ordering my Gladiator and receiving it in the summer of 2019. It paid for almost half the Gladiator and my trade paid the balance.
