So I have a 2020 JT, manual. I've gone through all the recalls and tsbs for the clutch.
The throw out bearing started making ungodly amounts of noise about a week ago, so I made an appointment and took it in. It got pushed back to today, and the clutch wouldn't release! They had to push it into the bay.
They're saying probably warranty, because it only has 52,000kms on it. But damn! The gift that keeps on giving is these manual transmissions! Something I bought to have more fun out on the trails, is giving me another headache! But even if I have to pay to get the clutch done, still cheaper than buying a factory auto ?

Unless Canadian warranty is different, the warranty is only 12000 miles on the clutch, which Google tells me is 19312 km (or probably rounded to 20000 km).

Since I took it in for the throw out bearing before the clutch, could it be a A caused B situation?

Yes. But the throwout bearing is considered part of the clutch assembly, so also not warrantied beyond 12000 miles (at least here in the States, you should check the Canada Warranty). Most clutch kits come with a throwout bearing. Usually, they are replaced at the same time.

As far as I read it's just the clutch plates that have the shorter warranty, not the whole assembly. Gave them a call to help clarify for me. Thanks again!

So apparently the clutch slipping (because they're dog poop) caused the bearing to melt. So it's not warranty. I never rid the clutch and was always in a lower than needed gear because i knew these clutches were bad....
